The Democrats, who once claimed delaying a U.S. Supreme Court nomination is irresponsible, are now insisting on delaying hearings for Judge Kavanaugh until after the midterm elections.

ICYMI: New Jersey Democrat Cory Booker, who endorsed Mike Espy in Mississippi just last week, perfectly exemplifies the Left’s crazed hysteria over the nomination of Judge Kavanaugh. Watch as Sen. Booker labels those who support Judge Kavanaugh as “complicit” and “evil.”

Since Mr. Espy is vying for a U.S. Senate seat, Mississippi Republican Party Chairman Lucien Smith sent a letter requesting that he reveal whether or not he would vote to confirm conservative judges in the mold of Justice Neil Gorsuch and Judge Kavanaugh, if elected.

Espy knows unless he claims to run as a moderate in a deep-red state like Mississippi, his political future is in peril. Perhaps that’s why he is hesitate to respond, but fresh off of a Booker endorsement, we can only assume that he would choose Chuck Schumer’s army of obstructionists over Mississippi.
